TechFlow reports that Layer1 blockchain Klaytn has announced a collaboration with Indonesian conglomerate Pelayaran Korindo and CeDeFi protocol NEOPIN to advance RWA tokenization.
The foundation and NEOPIN plan to launch the Asian RWA tokenization industry by developing RWA tokenization business models, starting with tokenizing ship-related assets held by Pelayaran Korindo.
Klaytn notes that ship financing typically involves funding vessel construction and acquisition by using the vessels themselves as collateral. The ship finance market—including leasing, export financing, and alternative suppliers—reached $525 billion last year, with the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region accounting for 44% of the global market share. Tokenizing ship assets is expected to significantly expand accessibility to ship financing for both individual and institutional investors, contributing to the diversification of Web3-based financial investment assets.
