The report shows that since the end of the second quarter, MicroStrategy purchased an additional 6,067 bitcoins for $167 million, at an average price of $27,531 per bitcoin. As of October 31, 2023, MicroStrategy holds a total of 158,400 bitcoins, with an aggregate cost of $4.69 billion, or an average of $29,586 per bitcoin.
MicroStrategy's total revenue for the third quarter reached $129.5 million, a 3% increase year-over-year; software license revenue was $45 million, up 16% year-over-year; subscription services revenue was $21 million, up 28% year-over-year. The company reported an operating loss of $25.2 million and a net loss of $143.4 million for the quarter, with a diluted net loss per share of $10.09.
