TechFlow news: UN Secretary-General António Guterres has announced the establishment of an advisory committee composed of 39 members to address global artificial intelligence (AI) regulation.
The committee includes technology industry leaders, government representatives from multiple countries, academics, and senior executives from prominent tech companies.
The United Nations plans to release preliminary recommendations by the end of this year and comprehensive recommendations in summer 2024. The group's first meeting is scheduled for October 27.
