TechFlow news on October 25: According to the latest update, information about BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (ticker: IBTC), which was previously removed by DTCC, has been relisted on the DTCC website. However, the status under the "Create/Redeem" field has changed from "Y" to "N".
A financial industry professional told TechFlow that a "Y" designation means authorized participants can actively create and redeem shares, which typically helps keep the ETF's market price in line with its net asset value. In contrast, an "N" indicates that the ETF does not allow active creation or redemption of shares, potentially leading to larger premiums or discounts between the ETF’s trading price and its net asset value.
