TechFlow news: Mixin founder Feng Xiaodong announced a preliminary plan for restoring users' wallet assets in Mixin Messenger, stating that the status of affected assets has been largely clarified. The main cryptocurrencies impacted in this incident were BTC, ETH, and ERC20 USDT, with estimated compensation ratios of 90%, 30%, and 10% respectively. He noted that other versions of USDT were unaffected.
Feng Xiaodong said that while the official compensation announcement will take some time, the compensation ratio will not vary by more than 1%. Additionally, other cryptocurrencies suffered varying degrees of loss, but the team plans to fully compensate affected users at 100% using existing funds and borrowed capital to purchase the corresponding assets.
Although the initial estimated loss was $200 million, Feng Xiaodong stated that the Mixin team is working to compensate affected users in USD value based on the cryptocurrency prices at the time of the theft, prioritizing compensation for users who held USDT on the ERC20 network.
