TechFlow reports that the Go Ethereum client has released Geth v1.13, a version whose main features have been under development for six years. The new release introduces an improved database model for storing Ethereum's state, which is faster than previous solutions and includes proper pruning implementation. This model enables correct and comprehensive pruning of historical state without requiring nodes to go offline for resynchronization or manual pruning.
