TechFlow news — On September 6, it was reported that X (formerly Twitter) has obtained a money transmission license for payment services in the state of Mississippi, USA.
It is understood that X has been actively pursuing regulatory approvals to enter the U.S. payments industry. The social media giant is developing software aimed at eventually enabling payments on its platform.
With this approval, X has now secured payment-related regulatory licenses in eight U.S. states: Mississippi, Arizona, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, Missouri, and Rhode Island.
