TechFlow News, according to Spotonchain data monitoring, Rune Christensen, founder of MakerDAO, has converted a total of 415,000 DAI into 409.06 MKR over the past four days at an average price of $1,015:
- On August 25, exchanged 200,000 DAI at $1,013 into 197.45 $MKR;
- On August 28, exchanged 215,000 DAI at $1,016 into 211.61 $MKR;
- He still holds 988,900 DAI in his wallet and may exchange for more MKR.
Notably, there is typically a price pump following each purchase by the founder:
- In the previous round of purchases, Rune Christensen converted $1.61 million worth of DAI into $1,613 worth of MKR between July 16 and July 20, 2023, at an average price of $998.2;
- During that period, the price of $MKR surged 51.8% (from $883.3 to $1,342.7).
