TechFlow news: Optimism announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it will transfer the initial OP token grant allocation to Base on August 30, as part of a planned transaction.
Previously reported, last week the Optimism Foundation announced an opportunity for Base to distribute up to approximately 118 million OP tokens over the next six years, aimed at retroactively rewarding Base's contributions to scaling Ethereum and the OP Stack, ensuring long-term alignment and commitment to the ecosystem.
