TechFlow reported that Blockstream's Core Lightning has launched the Splicing feature, offering a cheaper and simplified user experience for creating and using Bitcoin lightning wallets.
The Splicing technology enables users to add or remove funds from a single channel, eliminating the need for multiple channels per user and improving liquidity. This feature also allows wallet providers to create unified wallets that abstract the distinction between on-chain Bitcoin balances and Lightning Network balances, significantly reducing the difference between the two.
