TechFlow news: Rollup-as-a-Service protocol AltLayer has released its Rollup API and SDK, enabling programmatic access to customized rollups. The new API also facilitates launching restaking layers via EigenLayer.
These APIs allow developers to leverage a range of endpoints to dynamically create, monitor, and terminate rollups based on application needs. Key parameters such as the number of validators, gas settings, and runtimes can be specified during rollup creation, precisely tuning throughput, latency, and costs.
Developers can also use API endpoints to query rollup status, including ID, network resources, configuration, and health. Rollups can be easily terminated when requirements change.
Unlike traditional approaches, the AltLayer SDK enables developers to focus on application logic while fully customizing the underlying execution environment.
For end users, experiences powered by rollups are simpler and more abstract. Users can enjoy optimized performance and cost without needing to be aware that transactions are being processed on a dedicated rollup.
AltLayer says this suite of tools combines simplicity with customization, representing a new stage in blockchain infrastructure that empowers developers to innovate rollup solutions tailored to their specific needs.
