TechFlow reports that the renowned auction house Sotheby's has recently been drawn into a class-action lawsuit filed by Bored Ape Yacht Club investors against the project's creator, Yuga Labs. Investors allege that Sotheby's helped promote misleading claims about the popular NFT series.
However, Sotheby's has dismissed these allegations as "baseless" in a statement and said it will defend its interests. Yuga Labs also denied that the new legal claims have any factual merit. Earlier this year, Yuga Labs reached a settlement in another lawsuit involving counterfeit NFTs.
