TechFlow news — The Digital Energy Council (DEC), an industry advocacy organization, was launched on Tuesday as the first membership association dedicated specifically to the intersection of energy security and digital asset mining, aiming to advance policies that promote responsible and sustainable energy development, grid resilience, U.S. competitiveness, and national security.
Tom Mapes, founder and president of DEC who previously worked on energy policy at the Digital Chamber of Commerce, will be based in Washington, D.C. He said the top priority is "highlighting that digital asset mining is a real-world tool that can help achieve America’s energy goals."
"The Digital Energy Council is the only organization in Washington, D.C., solely focused on the intersection of the mining industry and energy abundance," said Zach Bradford, CEO of CleanSpark (CLSK), a DEC member company.
