TechFlow reported, according to Decrypt, that Alex Shapiro, attorney for Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has requested dismissal of a class-action lawsuit filed by Dogecoin investors accusing Musk of insider trading related to Dogecoin.
Alex Shapiro stated, "There is nothing illegal about posting supportive or humorous content regarding cryptocurrency on X. The allegations are based on Dogecoin sales from digital wallets that have no factual connection to Musk or Tesla."
The lawsuit was initially filed in June last year, seeking $258 billion in damages, alleging that Musk engaged in "intentional marketing, market manipulation, and insider trading" when discussing Dogecoin.
