TechFlow reports that SlowMist has published an article stating that recently, members of the PancakeSwap community discovered during project participation that malicious users had carried out large-scale token minting operations which were not recorded. Moreover, these bad actors also withdrew a significant portion of funds from the pool.
The malicious token IEGT deployed on BSC is located at address 0x8D07f605926837Ea0F9E1e24DbA0Fb348cb3E97D. Observing its holders via blockchain explorer reveals that although the "dead" and "pair" addresses hold large amounts of IEGT tokens, the total supply recorded by the contract remains at 5 million. Further investigation into the source of these tokens shows that the address 0x00002b9b0748d575CB21De3caE868Ed19a7B5B56 only has outgoing transactions, with no incoming transactions.
Using MistTrack to analyze this incident, the scammer addresses on the BSC chain were identified as 0x000000481F40f88742399A627Cbc2Afb6Ec34FeD and 0x00002b9b0748d575CB21De3caE868Ed19a7B5B56, with a total value of approximately $1.14 million. The initial cost for transferring USDT from the scammer addresses originated from withdrawals from the Binance exchange.
