TechFlow reports, Twitter user @lasertheend summarized the key points from this morning's "holders-only AMA" hosted by the Azuki team on Discord. Below are the main highlights:
Regarding why Elementals closely resemble Azuki, the team stated they wanted to continue with the proven successful PFP (profile picture) concept. However, they did not anticipate the dilution issue and underestimated its impact. They originally believed people would appreciate subtle differences in Elemental characters much like luxury watch collectors.
The team's proposed solution is to reaffirm the priority of original holders (OG holders), and announced a community vote to update the backgrounds of Elementals to better differentiate them.
ZAGABOND.ETH, co-founder of Azuki, said they are about to launch a new product that will determine allocation among Azuki holders through a "point system." He emphasized that despite similar art styles, original Azuki NFTs (OGs) will always hold more value than Elementals because the tokens themselves are fundamentally different.
On BEANZ progress: BEANZ is now classified as the third tier within the Azuki ecosystem, below Elementals. BEANZ will be developed as a distinct intellectual property (IP) aimed at attracting younger audiences and the mainstream market. It has its own independent roadmap and places greater emphasis on IP development.
Green Bean is an NFT that was already prepared—it is not a new PFP but rather anime-related. In the short term, it will not support trading.
Azuki is working on developing a new form of anime content. They plan to start by producing short animated episodes as part of their anime project. Azuki aims to create interactive anime experiences for viewers. After watching episodes, viewers will be able to interact with non-player character Azukis. Additionally, Azuki hinted at offering token rewards.
