TechFlow news, according to exclusive reporting by Wu Shuo, Lin Li-controlled X-Spot Limited filed a lawsuit today at the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region against Huobi (Huobi Global Limited) for trademark infringement. Earlier, after Sun Yuchen froze Lin Li's brother's account and accused him of dumping HT, Huobi began reusing the "Huobi" trademark.
The complaint states that X-Spot Limited has consistently retained exclusive rights to the "Huobi" trademark, and Huobi (Huobi Global Limited) has been using the mark without X-Spot's authorization. When former shareholders transferred their stakes in Huobi Global to About Capital Management, they explicitly agreed to retain the exclusive rights to the "Huobi" trademark and ensure these rights would not be transferred to the buyer or Huobi. The share transfer and asset settlement agreement clearly prohibits the buyer from using the "Huobi" trademark and brand.
