TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank has submitted a custody license application to Germany's securities regulator Bafin to offer services for digital assets such as cryptocurrencies. David Lynne, head of the bank’s corporate banking division, said during a meeting on Tuesday that the move aims to boost fee income from the bank’s corporate banking unit and reflects efforts by its subsidiary DWS Group to expand revenue from digital asset-related products. Notably, Deutsche Bank revealed plans in 2020 to introduce digital asset custody but did not specify when the service would be launched.
