TechFlow reported, according to Forkast, that Japanese telecom giant Fujitsu announced in a press release on Thursday the launch of a new blockchain-based cross-border collaboration platform called the "Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform" on June 30. Leveraging Fujitsu's proprietary ConnectionChain blockchain technology, the platform aims to connect transactions across different economic regions and improve areas such as cross-border securities settlement. The project has been piloted since January 2022. In close collaboration with organizations including the Asian Development Bank, ConsenSys, R3, and Soramitsu, it primarily focuses on enhancing cross-border securities settlement among Japan, China, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. After a year of trials, the platform is now ready for official launch.
