TechFlow news — On June 14, a U.S. federal judge ordered Binance, Binance.US, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to attend a mediation session to discuss restrictions on Binance's operations.
This is the first mediation session, scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time on June 14 (2:45 a.m. Beijing time on June 15).
The session will be led by Magistrate Judge Zia M. Faruqui, who previously served as a prosecutor and conducted multiple federal investigations into cryptocurrency companies. Faruqui has previously praised blockchain tracing technology as a powerful tool and described regulators' concerns about "non-custodial" crypto wallets outside exchanges as "fictional, not factual."
