TechFlow reports that Blocktrade, a digital asset marketplace, has announced the completion of a €4.5 million funding round, with participation from 1,400 private investors across 42 countries.
Blocktrade previously raised €22 million in a Series A round in 2021 through the same method, with investors from 33 countries. Founded in 2018, Blocktrade promotes cryptocurrency trading by offering social and gamified experiences.
Earlier news reported that Web3 Investco AG, a Swiss-based private equity firm headquartered in Zug's Crypto Valley, announced the acquisition of the crypto asset trading platform Blocktrade, securing 100% of its voting shares. Blocktrade is currently registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Estonia and Italy. Following the acquisition, Blocktrade plans to launch new products such as staking and tokenized stocks.
