TechFlow news, according to OKLink-BTC browser data from OKG Cloud, an empty block (i.e., a block containing only the coinbase transaction for block reward) was mined this morning at Bitcoin block height 788,703, just 14 seconds after the previous block.
It is understood that miners choose to mine empty blocks for economic reasons. To maximize mining efficiency during this short interval and avoid transaction conflicts with the parent block, miners refrain from including any transactions, meaning they can only attempt to mine empty blocks.
