TechFlow news on April 22 — SlowMist founder Yu Xian cited a Trust Wallet announcement on social media, stating that if users created a wallet using the Trust Wallet browser extension between November 14 and 23, 2022, their wallets may be at risk. The root cause is that during that period, the Trust Wallet browser extension used the MT19937 pseudorandom number generator, which did not provide sufficient randomness, potentially allowing private keys to be cracked.
Trust Wallet official stated, "If you observed abnormal fund movements in late December 2022 or late March 2023, you might be one of the few victims affected by these exploits. Please carefully read the reimbursement process for next steps. We will reimburse each victim, and we have the exact list of all affected wallets."
