TechFlow news — On Tuesday, March 14, Eastern Time, OpenAI announced the launch of its large multimodal model GPT-4, which can accept both image and text inputs and generate text outputs. The company described it as "more creative and collaborative than any previous version" and noted that "with broader general knowledge and problem-solving capabilities, it can more accurately tackle complex challenges." OpenAI stated that since GPT-4 can process both text and images simultaneously, it is capable of interpreting more complex input content.
OpenAI said it has partnered with several companies to integrate GPT-4 into their products, including Duolingo, Stripe, and Khan Academy. The GPT-4 model will also be available via API to paid ChatGPT Plus subscribers. Developers can register to use it in building applications. Microsoft later announced that its new Bing search engine will run on the GPT-4 system.
OpenAI also reported that GPT-4 took various benchmark tests, including the Uniform Bar Exam, the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), and the math and evidence-based reading and writing sections of the SAT ("American college entrance exam"), scoring higher than 88% of test takers in these exams.Original link
