TechFlow news: ConsenSys has released the "ETH Staking Withdrawal Guide," which highlights that the main outcome of the Shanghai/Capella upgrade is enabling stakers to withdraw their staked ETH. More specifically, it will introduce three key withdrawal-related functionalities:
1. The ability to update an Ethereum validator's withdrawal credentials from the older 0x00 type (derived from BLS keys) to the newer 0x01 type (derived from Ethereum addresses);
2. Partial withdrawals, or the periodic and automatic withdrawal of consensus-layer rewards accrued by active validators when their balance exceeds 32 ETH;
3. Full withdrawals, or the complete withdrawal of the balance from validators who have exited.
Currently, 58% of validators hold 0x00-type withdrawal credentials. Among the remaining 42% using 0x01-type withdrawal credentials, approximately 61% (or 25% of all Ethereum validators) are operated by the Lido validator set.
Additionally, to celebrate the upgrade, ConsenSys will launch its second commemorative NFT series when the upgrade goes live in late March to mid-April, inviting Web3 enthusiasts to participate by claiming NFTs. Source link
