TechFlow news — Sequoia China Seed Fund announced that its third seed fund completed a $480 million fundraising round last year. Currently, the Sequoia Seed program manages nearly RMB 15 billion in assets, making it one of the largest early-stage funds in China and marking the third U.S. dollar-denominated fund raised by Sequoia China since the seed program was established as an independent entity in 2018.
According to the announcement, Sequoia Seed primarily targets startups from the seed round to Series A. Over the past few years, it has focused on sectors including new energy and "dual carbon," EV supply chains, innovative medical technologies, synthetic biology, fintech, foundational software, robotics, design and content platforms, productivity tools, and new consumer trends—areas characterized by technological drivers, structural innovation, and high growth potential. The fund is now beginning to explore and invest in early-stage companies in the AIGC space.Source link
