TechFlow News, February 27 — OpenAI co-founder and current CEO Sam Altman took to Twitter claiming a new version of Moore's Law may soon take effect: the amount of intelligence in the universe could double every 18 months.
Moore's Law, originally an observation by Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel, states that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit doubles approximately every 18 to 24 months. In other words, processor performance roughly doubles every two years, while prices drop to half their previous level.
