TechFlow news — A creditor and financial lawyer of Voyager is seeking the appointment of a trustee in the bankruptcy case of Voyager Digital, which would result in Voyager losing control over its estate.
In a motion filed on February 1, Voyager creditor Michelle DiVita accused Voyager of having "a history of inaccurate financial statements and publicly false representations that were known or reasonably discoverable at the time the bankruptcy proceedings commenced." Due to such pre-bankruptcy conduct, DiVita argues that an examiner or trustee should be appointed to oversee the bankruptcy process.
The filing states that Voyager "concealed the true nature of its lending activities by issuing financial reports that materially understated its loan positions by more than $1 billion." Original link
