TechFlow, Aave team member MarcZeller stated in the Aave governance forum that after executing the AIP-144 CRVBadDebtRepayment contract, it enabled the acquisition of 2.7 million CRV tokens, allowing the clearance of remaining excess debt on the Aave V2 protocol within approximately 15 hours and a dozen transactions.
Reportedly, an Ethereum address starting with "0x57E04" shorted CRV in November 2022, causing 2.64 million CRV worth of bad debt on Aave V2. Two weeks later, an Aave community member proposed repaying the full CRV debt using Aave's existing USDC and aUSDC assets.Source link
