TechFlow news — at the APTOS New Year AMA event, APTOS core developer Zekun Li stated that APTOS's development focus this year will center on enhancing performance, improving developer experience, and strengthening decentralization. In terms of performance, efforts will primarily target improving horizontal scalability and overhauling the MOVE virtual machine. Additionally, further optimizations to APTOS's user experience and reductions in gas fees are planned. The initial proposal includes splitting computation gas from storage gas, and transitioning storage gas to a "deposit model," where deposits are refundable upon storage release. This change could reduce gas fees to one-tenth of current levels.
