TechFlow news, developers of the Polygon PoS blockchain have proposed initiating a hard fork software upgrade to address gas spike issues and enhance block security on the sidechain network.
Proposed by developers at Polygon Labs, the upgrade is scheduled for January 17. If approved by the community, the hard fork aims to reduce the impact of surging transaction fees and chain reorganizations, thereby improving Polygon's performance and security.
