TechFlow News — According to Axios, cryptocurrency payment provider Wyre appears to be shutting down. A former employee cited an email from Wyre CEO Ioannis Giannaros stating that the company will liquidate and terminate services as quickly as possible this month. Another ex-employee said the company offered no severance packages. However, Giannaros told Axios that the company is still operating and plans to downsize in the near term.
Previously, in December 2022, Wyre, the exchange service provider for hardware wallet Ledger, was accused of "arbitrarily" freezing user funds, with users reporting missing funds during exchanges on the Wyre platform.Source link
