TechFlow news, according to The Block, crypto satellite company Cryptosat has announced the launch of its second cryptographic satellite, Crypto2, via SpaceX. Crypto2 is a cup-sized small satellite operating in low Earth orbit, with computing speed 30 times faster than the company's first satellite, Crypto1, launched in May last year.
Previous reports indicate that Cryptosat aims to provide a physically inaccessible and tamper-proof platform in space, from which blockchain and ledger applications can be launched. In October last year, Cryptosat completed a $3 million seed funding round led by co-founders Yonatan Winetraub and Yan Michalevsky, with participation from Protocol Labs, Inflection, GoAhead Ventures, DoraHacks, and others.
