TechFlow news: Polygon has launched its second Polygon zkEVM public testnet. This new testnet introduces recursive upgrades, optimizing proof time from the previous 10 minutes down to 4 minutes. While Polygon hasn't disclosed a specific timeline for mainnet launch, it stated this step is "the final step before mainnet."
Additionally, the first Polygon zkEVM public testnet launched by Polygon in October this year will be deprecated on January 5 next year.
As previously reported, on December 15, Polygon announced the initiation of a comprehensive security audit for zkEVM. This audit will focus on correctness and robustness of the zkEVM, serving as a critical step required before mainnet launch. Two security firms, Spearbit and Hexens, are responsible for conducting the audit across 37 internal components of Polygon zkEVM, ensuring security and reliability upon deployment on the Ethereum mainnet.
