TechFlow News — ConsenSys has responded to user concerns over data privacy arising from its recently updated privacy policy, stating: "When MetaMask users send 'read' requests via Infura, we do not store wallet account addresses or associated IP addresses. When MetaMask users broadcast transactions through Infura's RPC endpoints, we collect wallet and IP address information related to 'write' requests (also known as transactions). However, IP addresses and wallet addresses associated with transactions are not stored together. We retain and delete user data—including IP addresses and wallet addresses—according to our data retention policy, and are actively working to reduce the retention period to seven days. We have never sold, and will never sell, any collected user data."Source link
