TechFlow News — Bybit CEO Ben Zhou stated during a YouTube official channel AMA that 80% of Bybit's customer assets are stored in cold wallets, with the remainder in hot wallets.
However, recently due to increased customer withdrawal requests, some assets from cold wallets have been moved to hot wallets. Using cold wallet holdings as proof does not allow verification that the funds genuinely originate from user assets. Bybit's proposed proof-of-reserves solution will assign each user an on-chain address, enabling real-time balance verification during deposits and withdrawals. This solution is currently under development.Source link
