TechFlow, November 15 — YAHAHA, a user-generated content (UGC) platform for the metaverse, has completed a $40 million Series A+ funding round. The round was co-led by Temasek and Alibaba, with participation from 37 Interactive Entertainment. Taihe Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor. Proceeds will be used to attract top-tier talent from the gaming industry and further expand operations in North America and the Asia-Pacific region. YAHAHA will continue supporting its creator community of over 100,000 members through diverse initiatives such as studio collaborations, accelerators, global events, and Game Jams.
According to reports, the company launched the Alpha test version of its product in April 2022, enabling overseas users to download and access it on PC, Mac, and mobile devices, with cross-platform multiplayer functionality. As of October, YAHAHA's product has attracted over 100,000 registered and active users. While continuing to scale its product in the market, YAHAHA has grown its team to nearly 200 employees, with offices in Shanghai, Finland, and Seoul.
