TechFlow, October 31 — Zebra Labs (Zebra Research Institute), a metaverse-based digital entertainment platform, has announced the completion of a $5 million funding round. The investment was led by NetDragon Websoft, a gaming company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, and Japan’s Sumitomo Group.
In June this year, Zebra Labs released a music video titled "Full of Cuteness, Invincible!" featuring its virtual IP "Biubiu the Little Zebra" in collaboration with Chinese artist Da Zhangwei. The company is transforming such IPs into reusable intellectual property that can be purchased as NFTs in the marketplace and appear in other virtual contexts such as video games. Scarlett Li, founder and CEO of Zebra Labs, told TechCrunch that the startup is awaiting the return of the crypto bull market to launch its NFT initiative. Source link
