Aptos promised 100,000 TPS in its final version, but the current TPS is approximately four transactions per second, and most of these transactions are not real user transactions—they are merely validator communications, setting block checkpoints, and writing metadata to the blockchain.
Additionally, Aptos has a total supply of 1,000,739,234.25 tokens, with 821,111,362.91 already staked. This means over 80% of the token supply is controlled by the team and investors, as there was no airdrop or other way to earn mainnet Aptos tokens.
