TechFlow news — HashKey Capital Limited has had the restriction on virtual asset management under its Type 9 (Asset Management) license revoked by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong ("SFC"), meaning that HashKey Capital Limited can now, under SFC supervision, build investment portfolios fully composed of virtual assets.
With this approval from the Hong Kong SFC, HashKey Capital is now authorized to manage funds dedicated to virtual assets in compliance with SFC requirements, positioning it among the first few compliant virtual asset management firms in Hong Kong.
Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of HashKey Group, commented: "HashKey Group is not only an advocate for the crypto asset industry and a proponent of regulatory compliance, but also committed to fostering the long-term development of blockchain and the crypto sector. Our consistent goal has been to actively support regulation while helping drive sustainable industry growth. This latest authorization from the Hong Kong SFC for HashKey Capital’s Type 9 license to manage virtual asset investments strengthens our confidence in nurturing and incubating the blockchain ecosystem in Hong Kong and across Asia."
Notably, HashKey Capital Limited is a company under HashKey Capital. As the investment arm of HashKey Group, HashKey Capital is one of Asia's leading crypto asset management institutions. HashKey Capital or its affiliated companies serve as general partners managing investment funds focused on digital assets and the blockchain ecosystem.
