TechFlow news — According to a tweet from crypto community user @0xEthanDG, the BAYC copycat collection RR/BAYC has been delisted by NFT marketplace OpenSea.
RR/BAYC was created by Ryder Ripps, a well-known critic of BAYC. Since December 2021, Ryder Ripps has been investigating BAYC and its creator Yuga Labs, alleging extensive connections between BAYC and internet Nazi troll culture. Exploiting a copyright loophole in BAYC, Ryder Ripps launched the RR/BAYC NFT collection, which once topped OpenSea’s 24-hour trading volume ranking on June 21. Some view RR/BAYC as a direct challenge by Ryder Ripps against Yuga Labs.
Previously, on June 9, OpenSea announced four specific measures aimed at protecting NFT copyrights.
