TechFlow News — When ApeCoin initiated the minting of virtual land parcels called Otherdeeds for its metaverse project Otherside in early May, it caused widespread congestion on the Ethereum network. As the decentralized autonomous organization behind ApeCoin, ApeCoin DAO hinted on social media that it might consider leaving the Ethereum blockchain. Currently, both Avalanche and FLOW have indicated they’ve engaged in discussions with ApeCoin regarding a potential blockchain migration.
Kevin Sekniqi, co-founder of Ava Labs, the company behind Avalanche, said the firm has already held discussions with ApeCoin DAO about migrating to the Avalanche blockchain and is prepared for such a transition. Mik Naayem, Chief Business Officer at Dapper Labs, the company behind the FLOW blockchain, also stated: “I believe Flow would be an ideal home for ApeCoin. We’ve had initial conversations with members of the ApeCoin DAO leadership, but ultimately any decision would need to come from a community vote.”
