TechFlow news — On May 23, metaverse app BUD announced it has raised $36.8 million in a Series B funding round led by Sequoia Capital India, with participation from ClearVue Partners, NetEase, Northern Light Venture Capital, GGV Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, and Source Code Capital.
Founded in 2019 by former Snap engineers Risa Feng and Shawn Lin, BUD is headquartered in Singapore. The app enables users to create spherical 3D avatars and interact within its games through simple drag-and-drop actions—no coding required. BUD plans to launch an NFT marketplace to further enhance user experience.
