TechFlow news — According to its official blog, NFT marketplace OpenSea is introducing NFT duplicate detection and verification features aimed at reducing plagiarism and fraudulent projects.
OpenSea stated that these new features will enhance authenticity across the digital marketplace. Key updates include a new system for detecting and removing counterfeit NFTs, as well as adjustments to the account verification process.
Additionally, OpenSea revealed it is deploying a brand-new counterfeit detection system that uses image recognition technology to scan NFTs on the platform, comparing them against authentic collections to identify flips, rotations, and other variations. Human moderators at OpenSea will also participate in the detection process and review removal recommendations.
OpenSea noted that it has already begun removing violating content and will expand the scope and scale of these efforts over the coming weeks. Regarding account verification, users holding 100 ETH or more can currently access an invite-only verification application, with plans to broaden participation in the verification program in the future.
