TechFlow news — Azuki founder ZAGABOND.ETH announced he will fully transfer control of the contracts for three projects—Phunks, Tendies, and Zunks—to their respective communities. In a tweet, ZAGABOND stated: "I’ve come to realize the shortcomings in how these prior projects were managed. To the communities I left behind, to Azuki holders, and to everyone who believed in me, I’m truly sorry. As the creator of Phunks, Tendies, and Zunks, I apologize to these communities, who were mentors on the journey of building Azuki. There should have been greater transparency and communication, and the handover of these projects should have been handled more carefully."
ZAGABOND added: "First, we will fully transfer control of the Phunks, Tendies, and Zunks smart contracts back to their original communities, and figure out the right setup for a fair redistribution of funds. We’ll share detailed plans soon and reach out to the leaders of these projects. Second, we’ll post updates on Discord and respond within the next 24 hours to questions raised on social media. This will be a living document, continuously updated based on community feedback. Going forward, we want the Azuki community to know how important they are to us. We’re committed to improving transparency and communication. As a first step, we’re holding calls with community groups to hear user concerns directly."
Previously, ZAGABOND admitted that over the past year, the Azuki team had operated three projects—CryptoPhunks, Tendies, and CryptoZunks. This revelation may have sparked discontent among Azuki and the aforementioned NFT project holders, causing the floor price of Azuki NFTs to drop as low as 10 ETH. ZAGABOND explained that the disclosure was prompted by prolonged harassment, and was not a deliberate timing choice.
