TechFlow news — Ondo Finance, a crypto startup, has raised $20 million in Series A funding led by Founders Fund and Pantera Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Tiger Global, GoldenTree Asset Management, Wintermute, Flow Traders, and Steel Perlot.
Ondo Finance is an Ethereum-based DeFi protocol that enables users to originate crypto-collateralized loans to earn yield. Lenders and borrowers jointly deposit funds into "Ondo Vaults," using smart contracts to enforce loan terms. There are two types of positions in Ondo's initial vaults: fixed-yield and variable-yield. Fixed-yield vaults aim to deliver stable returns, while variable-yield vaults seek to maximize returns through leverage.
