TechFlow news — Doug Leone, Global Senior Managing Partner at Sequoia Capital, announced he will retire this July. Roelof Botha, who currently leads Sequoia’s U.S. and European operations, will succeed Doug Leone, while Neil Shen of Sequoia China will continue serving as a Global Managing Partner. Additionally, business units including Sequoia India/Southeast Asia, the Sequoia Global Public Markets Fund, and the Sequoia Heritage Fund will remain independently led by their respective managing partners. Doug Leone became Global Senior Managing Partner in 2012, serving alongside Neil Shen and Roelof Botha as one of Sequoia’s three Global Managing Partners. In his retirement announcement, Doug Leone, the longtime leader of Sequoia Capital, stated that this year marks the firm’s 50th anniversary, and he will step down shortly after his 65th birthday.
