TechFlow news — Li Lin, founder of Huobi, returned to his alma mater Hengyang No. 8 High School and donated 30 million yuan to the school's education foundation to establish a scholarship and faculty incentive fund. Liu Lihua, Chairperson of the Hengyang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the donation ceremony.
Liu Lihua expressed appreciation for Li Lin’s deep affection toward his alma mater. As an outstanding alumnus of Hengyang No. 8 High School and a successful entrepreneur from Hengyang, his act of giving back will inspire more people to pay attention to and support the development of education at No. 8 High School and across Hengyang. She also praised other alumni of the school who, while achieving success in their careers, continue to care about their alma mater and hometown. The municipal CPPCC will actively build platforms and bridges to help alumni return to Hengyang for investment and service, contributing greater strength to accelerating Hengyang’s "Three Strengths and One Modernization" development strategy.
Li Lin said that the school motto of "Zhong Xin Du Jing" (Loyalty, Trustworthiness, Sincerity, and Respect) and the spirit of "Striving for Excellence and Truth with Rigor and High Standards" had greatly helped him both academically and as an entrepreneur. Being able to give back to his alma mater is both an expression of gratitude and blessings.
