TechFlow news, March 28 — Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal posted that the European Parliament plans to vote on March 31 regarding amendments to the Transfer of Funds Regulation. The proposed changes include multiple provisions for crypto asset regulation, classifying all cryptocurrency transactions as "subject to the Travel Rule." Exchanges would be required to collect, verify, and report information on non-customers using self-hosted wallets. Additionally, exchanges must notify competent authorities of every transfer equaling or exceeding €1,000 from non-customer self-hosted wallets, regardless of whether any illicit activity is suspected.
