TechFlow news — On March 21, Qualcomm announced the launch of the $100 million Snapdragon Metaverse Fund, which will invest in companies researching XR (extended reality) experiences and related AR (augmented reality) and artificial intelligence technologies.
The fund aims to support the developer ecosystem for XR experiences in gaming, health and wellness, media, entertainment, education, and other fields by combining Qualcomm Ventures' venture investments in leading XR companies with a grant program from Qualcomm Technologies. Applications for the fund will open in June.
